WAL App

The WAL App was released in 2016, and featured seven artists and a selection of their artworks, a selection of which were held in the Women’s Art Library’s special collections and archive (at Goldsmiths Library). The WALL App featured audio recordings of the artists describing aspects of their work. It also provided a way for users to ‘participate’ by making a ‘WAL artist slide’, which could be shared on social media.

The WAL App was an experiment created by Dr. Ana-Maria Herman as part of a research project that explores the possibilities of app technologies as a way to present and promote the archived works of women artists.

Please note: the WAL App is currently unavailable for download on the App Store.

For more information about the project see the About page on the How to Make an Archive Travel blog.
